Washing Machine History Guide

เขียนโดย ruengrit kumrintorn

There are plenty of objects around the house that we use everyday without really realising how important they are for our lifestyle and the humble washing machine is just one of these. Imagine trying to wash your whole families washing by hand all the time and you'll know what I mean!

According to some sources there was a patent for a washing machine type of object in England in the late 1600s although there is no record of it actually being built. Even so, the idea of a washing machine goes back a long way although obviously not in its current high tech form.

In 1797 the scrub board began to be used in much the same way as they are used today. However these can't really be considered machines although they did make washing clothes a lot easier for those who had to do it!

The first electric washing machine was created by a man called Alva Fisher at the start of the 20th century although there is some debate as to whether the Idea was already patented by another man named Louis Goldberg. Like so many great inventions, it is often difficult to tell who actually created and the first, it just managed to market successfully, because they are two different things.

From that point on, the washing machine has landed in strength on the high-tech products, almost everyone has in their home and assumes away! Who knows where the future will lead to washing machines.
